We have established this Privacy Policy to let you know what information we may collect from you at (the “Site”). Please take a moment to review the terms of our Privacy Policy. By using the Site, you agree to accept the terms of our Privacy Policy as well as the Terms of Use. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, please do not use the Site.

During each of the ten days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the Site will present a new question for you to consider. If you register on the Site, you will be permitted to submit answers to the questions (the “Answers”). We will send the questions and Answers back to you next year before Rosh Hashanah, at which point the process will begin all over again.

At a future point, you may also be able to post comments about other people’s Answers or about the Site (the “Comments”). The Answers and Comments shall be collectively referred to herein as the “Submitted Content.”

Collection of Information
Information You Choose to Submit. “Personal Information” means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical address, a phone number, and an email address. If you choose to register on the Site, you will provide to us the following information: email address, first and last name, your current city, the year of your birth and, if you wish, your gender and religion. In addition, if you choose to participate in the Site, you may elect to provide Personal Information in your Submitted Content. The decision to provide any of this information is optional; however, if you decide not to register or provide such information, you will not be able to use certain features of the Site.
Information We May Automatically Collect. From time to time, we may collect general, non-personal, statistical information about the use of the Site (“Non-Personal Information”), such as how many visitors visit the Site, how long they stay on that page and which hyperlinks, if any, they “click” on. We collect this information through the use of “cookies” and other tracking technologies, which are discussed in greater detail below. We may also automatically collect and use the data contained in log files. The information in log files may include your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider), the Web browser you used to visit the Site, the time you visited the Site, which Web pages you visited on the Site, and other anonymous usage data.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies.
Our Site utilizes “cookies” and other tracking technologies that may be provided by us or our third party partners. A cookie is a small file that often includes an anonymous unique identifier and that is sent to your browser from a Web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive. We use “session cookies” which expire upon the conclusion of your visit to the Site. You may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie or to block cookies. Please be aware that some features of the Site may not function properly or may be slower if you refuse or block cookies.

How We May Use Your Information
If you provide us with Personal Information, we may retain and use that information to facilitate your inquiry or request and as otherwise described on this Privacy Policy. For example, we may use your Personal Information in order to respond to your questions or requests for information about the Site or to communicate with you regarding the Site, such as announcements, e-mails related to the Site, or similar administrative or transactional messages. In addition, we will send you back your Answers shortly before Rosh Hashanah of the following year so that you may see what you were reflecting on the prior year. We reserve the right to use Personal Information and Non-Personal Information to identify a visitor when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with the Site’s policies, to protect the Site, our customers, or others, or when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.

With Whom We May Share Your Information—Publication Rights
As set forth in the Terms of Use, with the input of each Answer, we will ask you to make the following elections (the “Elections”): (a) whether you consent to our publishing the Answers and (b) if so, whether you consent to the publication of the Answers anonymously or accompanied by your name. If you decline to consent to publication of the Answers, the Answers will not be provided to third parties, except as otherwise permitted under this policy. Otherwise, consistent with your Elections, we may publish the Answers either online, in print or any other media format now known or hereafter devised. We may also publish the Answers with your city, year of birth, gender and religion for context. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, and regardless of your elections, by submitting the Answers you are giving us full ownership of and the copyright in the Answers. We will be able to use the Answers consistent with your Elections, this Privacy Policy and applicable law. You acknowledge that you will have no right to any compensation for the publication of the Answers.

In addition, by submitting the Comments you are giving us full ownership of and the copyright in the Comments to use in any manner we see fit, consistent with this Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy and applicable law, again, without any obligation to compensate you. Comments may not be submitted anonymously and, if posted, will be posted with your name.

With Whom We May Share Your Information—Other Third Parties
We will not sell or share your Personal Information with any unaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes. We may sometimes use other businesses (“Service Providers”) to perform certain services for us, such as maintaining the Site and our e-mail services and processing inquiries. We provide our Service Providers with the information reasonably necessary for them to perform the services on our behalf. Each Service Provider must agree to implement and maintain reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information involved in order to protect your information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.
In the event that we sell or transfer the Site, we may disclose or transfer the Personal Information and Non-Personal Information in connection with such transaction.
We may disclose aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to describe the use of the Site to our existing or potential business partners, sponsors, advertisers, or other third parties, or in response to a government request. However, please be assured that this aggregate data will not involve the disclosure of Personal Information nor personally identify you or any other visitors to the Site.
We reserve the right to disclose Personal Information and Non-Personal Information when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other visitors, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. We also reserve the right to disclose Personal Information and Non-Personal Information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.
